So I had to get my car fixed (story below) and was directed to Carstar by my insurance. I wasn't sure what to expect as it was recommended byinsurance but everything was going to be covered anyway so I didn't mind. They were excellent to deal with and promptly answered any calls or message I left. We figured out a time I could drop off the car, they arranged for a rental car shuttle to pick me up and I was on my way. They were super informative and told me when I could expect to pick it up (took a few days). I went back, they gave me all the paperwork I needed for insurance, I paid my deductible, we looked over the car (looked brand new) and I was on my way. Very little hassle which is always appreciated after being frazzled by getting hit by a dump truck!!!!!!!!
I don't know too much about what they cost but my car isn't worth more than $2k and the damage looked enough to write it off but they didn't so I can only assume they are fairly priced. For any future bodywork needs, I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Story about why I needed Carstar:
I got dumped by a truck truck truck, thighs like what what what, baby move your....
Decoded: I was somewhat sideswiped by a huge dump truck on 9 Ave & 1 St SW during rush hour which shattered my tail light and dented my side panel and bumper. The driver said he didn't see me as he was changing lanes. Really?!?! You didn't see a car in that lane beside you, even though it was 5PM on a weekday in front of the Calgary Tower (super busy in case you are lucky enough to avoid downtown during rush hour). Maybe next time you drive your massive vehicle downtown during rush hour you will NOT change lanes.
Okay...deep breaths...I'm calm now...
