| - Meh!!!! Made an appointment for a basic french manicure. Yes, I am easy and its something I have been doing for years. I like the look of a french manicure - I am simple!!!!! What I left with, was no where near a french manicure.
Long story short, she told me a french manicure was boring......so why does'nt she add a bit of silver to the tips. I am not overly crazy about silver, but hey she is "the professional" and it will still look classy and beautiful (her words, not mine). Instead of white tips, it would be light silver but still the classic french manicure. After some coaxing, I agree.
{Kick in the regret I am already feeling.....}
I watch her add a few different layers of polishes (clear, white and silver) and think, wow my nails really look silver and not this silver french manicure I was just sold on. Finally I say something because I am concerned and also need to meet a friend soon for lunch, so need to ensure I am out of here in time.
She then begins to tell me that the silver is too light for a french manicure and needs to put a few layers so its noticeable??? I respond with," I did'nt want that and if that is the case, why did you talk me into this? You could have said something and then do what I originally requested, which was a classic french manicure." She ignored me and started to talk in another language to one of the girls that works there.
The other girl started to explain to me that the silver isn't good for a french manicure and that is why all the thick layers. I should'nt have picked silver!
I explained to her I did'nt pick the silver nor did I request it. I came in and booked my appointment for a basic french manicure and was told it was boring and she would still do one,however with a bit of silver on the nail tips. I never wanted that but was convinced that is what I needed.
She looked at me and said, I could pay for a nail polish change and they would do the basic french manicure. I was applauded. Not only did they expect me to pay for a manicure,but they also wanted me to pay for a nail polish change since the polish would need to be re-done. Needless to say, I opted out. Told them I will just pay and go get my nails done some where else. They were fine with that and didnt want to make it right nor did they suggest anything (discount, free service or to re-do at no cost). Not even an apology from the crazy lady ( who wore a Harley Davidson shirt? ) who did my nails or her boss, who apparently is the manager and the one who suggested I pay for a nail polish change? Service is horrible.
Will never come back ever!!!!!!!
