  • Before coming to Island Time, I had never had any dole whip but was starting to hear more and more about it in the past year. Once I found out this place opened in the Grand Bazaar Shops, I knew I had to give it a try, especially since I was going to be staying close by. There were no customers when we went on a Tuesday at lunch time. We were helped by a really nice and cute guy :p He explained the different menu options to us, and we ended up going with the Ultimate Pineapple - basically, dole whip in a pineapple. It was $13 if I recall correctly and was the perfect size for two people to share. I know I had nothing to compare it to, but I found it to be a very refreshing treat, not too tart or pineapple-y, which is just how I like it. I just wish it weren't so windy on the day we went! There was no sun shining on that side of the shops closest to Bally's during that time of the day which didn't help at all. I also wish they could have had their Ultimate Watermelon available, since I love watermelon so much. Still, I did like my order and was pleased with my first dole whip experience :)
