Will never do business with Dollar again. What a complete joke and waste of time. No cars on a Friday night in Vegas? Seriously?
So we fly into Vegas on a Friday night realizing that things may be a little crowded. After we took the shuttle to the car rental hub I looked around and saw that Dollar/Thrifty had the longest line of all the other agencies. I took it in stride and stood in line for about 45 minutes until I finally got to the front of the line. The woman who checked me in was extremely pleasant. I wish I got her name because she was the best thing about this whole experience. Anyway, I got all of my paperwork in order and she told me to go down the escalator to the garage area. I went down there expecting to find a lot full of cars but I found nothing except another long line of people waiting for cars to pull up. There were two workers there, one in a kiosk and the other at the head of the line getting people into cars. After about 45 minutes of this, both the employees took off. One porter pulled up in a car and told the people in line just to take whatever car that pulled up. By the time we were near the front of the line cars were coming about once every 5-10 minutes. Since the people in front of us had reserved SUVs, they told us to grab the next car that pulled up. Luckily it was a Toyota Camry and we had ordered a full-size car so we walked over and got in. No one was there to go over damage or anything so I took pictures of a small ding and the front bumper which was misaligned a little. To add the all the utter ridiculousness of the whole thing, my driver side seat was soaking wet.
I contacted the corporate office but have still not heard back from them. Customer service seems to be non-existent with this company. Stay away!
