  • We've been coming to The Parlor since they opened. With so many outstanding reviews, there's really not much new that I can say other than they once again were consistently very good. (Plus, I've been putting so many poor reviews out there lately, when I had a good dining experience, I wanted to recognize that.) The main reasons for 4 stars and not 5 stars was the dessert and the service. Our waitress was certainly professional and competent, she just didn't offer that over-the-top sparkling warmth that other Parlor employees have demonstrated in the past. The host also had a bit of an attitude when we first opened the door. Just that typical teenage "I'm so cool, I have this awesome host job, so I have so much power and influence." No, son, you're WORKING here and I'm paying your salary, so just a tiny bit of appreciation on your part would do wonders in making us feel welcome. As for the dessert, it was certainly good, but did not live up to the menu billing of "Best Chocolate Cake Ever". I can make an equally good, if not better, chocolate cake at home. The salsiccia pizza was every bit as delicious as always and the duck club was outstanding, especially with the tomato jam just adding that extra little something. Go here, it is definitely a solid addition to your regular rotation.
