  • The auto show is simply not the show that it was pre-recession. While it used to fill the entire convention centre along with the *Skydome* (Rogers Centre, fine), it dropped down to just the convention centre during the recession. It's been going downhill ever since. To start off, there is very poor signage going to south building along the skywalk. There are signs that seem to point to a certain entrance, but when we went to that entrance the guy sitting "working" there indicated that we were going the wrong way. He said it in a way that clearly gave away that he thought we were all morons. Because when 90% of the people think the signs are pointing at something the problem is with the people, not the signs, right. Then they make you walk all the way back around outside. By the time you've circled around you realize that you've backtracked almost the entire way. Taking the skywalk was a complete waste of time. We were then directed to the "ceremonial" entrance. I'm not sure how we would know which was one ceremonial based on the description alone. The cars were ok. We were in the market for a new car, so it's nice to see them all at once. Many have restricted access. I used to have the opportunity to visit on the VIP night when everything was fair game. That's the way to see the auto show. There were far too many strollers in the way. It made it difficult to move around at time. I think if you came on a weeknight things would be better on that front.
