| - I signed a year lease less than 2 months ago and am already counting the days until I move. The new owners "fixed" this place up. But the "repairs" are equivalent to running a car's speedometer backwards or putting wood shavings in the engine. It took almost 2 weeks to even get my appliances put in my unit AFTER I MOVED IN, and I was told I was getting black appliances, which was true for my oven and fridge, but my dish washer is white??? The hardware on all of my cabinets is falling off already, because the screws are too long. There are multiple blinds that were already broken, cracked or chipped, the flooring was already messed up in multiple spots and the carpet was beyond dirty when I moved in. You want the toilet to be clear of toilet paper? You better flush it at least twice. And if you want your drains to drain at a snail's pace, that sucks for you because they drain slower than molasses in the dead of winter. My towel bar can't be used because the hole for the screw is basically a window into the wall and they did a terrible patch so the stupid screw won't even stay in the wall. Same goes for my bedroom door. I have to physically lift the door to close it because the screws and wood are stripped. The closet doors have a neat little piece of plastic that screws into the ground to make it so the doors don't flap back and forth, but it serves no purpose as it fell out and can't be screwed back in because...you guessed it...THEY ARE STRIPPED. I can't open my bedroom window without getting gnats, moths or flies filling my apartment since I DON'T HAVE A SCREEN ON THERE? And when I asked for one, they said "eventually they will get around to putting a screen on all the windows". No. Give me a damn screen. I'm in one of the few units that doesn't have one and I live on the first floor, so I'd like to have more protection against the druggies and "thugs" walking around at all hours, and also so I don't have bugs in my place! K thanks! My clothes can be washed on ONE setting, though the washer itself has three settings. And that's when the washer doesn't drain right after filling up. You can put in a maintenance request super easily, but you better hope your apartment isn't flooding, because they won't get around to fixing your stuff in this lifetime (I've been waiting more than 2 weeks for them to get to me). But they're too busy "fixing" up other units so they can scam people into moving here. Oh and the BEST part of this place? The free pets you get! I hope you like cockroaches!!! People also blast their music as early as 4:30 in the morning and won't turn it down no matter how many times you ask, there are constantly drug addicts running around digging in the dumpsters, dirty little kids run around asking you for money and screaming all the time because none of the ghetto parents care to look after their children. Oh yeah, they also said over a month ago that the gate would be fixed and we would get our gate cards so hopefully there weren't as many tweakers running around but still has yet to happen. I'm beyond over this place and I can't believe how much money I'm paying them for nothing. Beware and PLEASE do your research and find a better place. You can EASILY find one. Maybe like...a milk box or under a bridge would be nicer.
