  • First, let me explain how I ended up being a loyal customer of Waxing the City. I had previously been going to European Wax Center. The staff seemed abrupt, they were more about quantity than quality, and I certainly wasn't strutting in or out looking like all of the photos they have of rail thin models. I gave zero f.... I mean qualms about leaving when they let my waxer go. Fast forward to April 2016. I take my brows VERY seriously and don't let just anyone touch them. I hesitantly went to Waxing the City afraid someone would go too far and I'd have to go into hiding for a month because I looked like Quasimodo. Seriously, that's how anxious I was. I walked in and lo and behold, there stood an angel waiting for me. Let's be clear...I hadn't died. The angel I speak of was Tonia. I found my beloved TONIA! It was so serendipitous I almost really did croak. I got my brows waxed and they were ON FLEEK, so I ended up signing up for a membership, which I had never done at EWC. I cannot say enough how much I love Waxing the City. The staff is always kind, and when I misread my appointment card and got my appointments mixed up last month they didn't even charge my credit from my membership (which I would have been okay with seeing as it was my own mistake), they just rebooked a new appointment for me later in the week. Now that's just outstanding customer service, and not something I'd ever have expected from EWC if I HAD purchased a membership. Their scheduling is so flexible, and I enjoy chit chatting with the staff before and/or after my appointments instead of being rushed out the door. As a company, they fully understand the meaning of customer service, which is something that I've seen fall to the wayside with other companies. They really do value their customers and treat their customers like family, which means EVERYTHING to me. I would highly recommend Waxing the City to anyone I know without hesitation...and of course I'd recommend Tonia, but honestly I feel like everyone there is extremely experienced and you'd be in good hands with anyone.
