| - Even though I'm eating the leftovers right now, the service and quality was poor for such an expensive restaurant and such a big name.
Beginning with the terrible chick pea and toast, free but tasteless, wasted ingredient. Calamari was ok but no sauce and large portion, while the aged meats plate was decent.
Then ordered the lobster pasta and the sweet sausage pasta. The lobster pasta had very little sauce and when asked for more sauce we were denied by the chef, also not allowed to have drawn butter apparently! Not worth 32 dollars and was not offered parmesan or crushed red peppers! The sweet sausage pasta was good though, again no condiments allowed.
Our final course was the veal which was expensive and ver marbelized, to the point of being work to find the meat, but the parts that were edible were very good!
Oh by the way, be ready to order all of your courses at the same time bc that's the rules.
Waiter also ignored shawna even though it wad my b day dinner and she picked up the bill, which was way overpriced; and also was charged for our comped desert which was awarded to us bc of poor service. Desert wad bland chocolate w berries, coffee was also lame.
AVOID THIS PLACE bc there are so many other great places that will treat you right and also serve amazing food for less than what we spent. Waste of money, time, and food. Poor form Mario Batali.....
Best part about Batali is on iron chef, booya!
(go to La Cirque or Mon Ami Gabi, they are worth it!)
