| - The food is pretty good and they have some interesting choices - cornbread, peanut coleslaw. The chicken is a healthy choice, but smells better than it tastes. It is ok.
What struck us this time is the service. The servers themselves were ok, I just think the management needs to receive and provide some training - and look at some of their silly policies. We went on July 5th - a very slow day when we got there. We were meeting a friend who was visiting from out of town for dinner. At least half the tables were empty, yet when we asked to be seated they said "You can wait at the bar. We don't seat you until everyone is here." We told them, half the tables are empty. Can't we be seated? "It is our policy," they said. After a bit of pleading with a "you've got to be kidding me", they agreed to seat us. I can understand the policy if the restaurant was busy, but it was almost empty!
Then, the servers kept trying to rush us. When our friend got there, the server kept trying to take our order. We ordered some cornbread and said we wanted a little time to visit. We got the cornbread, but kept getting rushed to order.
Once the food came, the servers (not just ours, but others) kept hovering by like they were checking us out. It was an unpleasant dinner. Then, they kept trying to rush us out. I am sensitive to staying in a restaurant and "hogging" a table, but that wasn't the case. I could see the front door and kept an eye on it to make certain there were no people waiting.
If you want to get a quick dinner, then this place is fine. If you want to enjoy a reasonable dinner, I'd find someplace else.
