I went in to Classic Canine this morning to drop off my 4 1/2 month old shih-tzu to be groomed. Upon entering the establishment you could here an older woman screaming at the dog she was grooming. I was horrified. The woman helping me, Jennifer, was professional and pleasant to deal with. I handed over my puppy to her and left. On the drive back home I was concerned about my puppy's well-being... I just couldn't get over my initial impression of the woman screaming at the dog she was grooming... So I decided to turn the car around and pick up my dog.
I returned to the establishment about 40 mins after dropping off my dog. I walked in and an older man was sitting at the front desk with a smug look on his face. Looking at the counter, was the paperwork I originally signed that had all of my personal information on it. It was left out on the counter for everyone to see. I could also hear my puppy whinning and barking. My puppy was left sitting in a kennel whinning and barking for the past 40 plus mins. They didn't even start on her.
Upon leaving, I took my puppy and the paperwork that was sitting on the counter for the world to see and left. Once at the car, the older man came out and asked for his paperwork back. He said, he needs it back because his attorney made that legal document. This so called, "legal document" that had my personal information all over it, just left on top of the counter for the world to see. I tore off all of my personal information and signature and gave the man his "legal document" back and left.
First impressions mean a lot. If that's how you run your establishment and If that's how you deal with your frustrations and the dog you are grooming... No, thank you. How can I trust that you won't do that to my dog.
