| - Let me start off by saying I LOVE ice cream. Ice cream doesn't last in my house for more than a few days. So, we were hoping to find a nice ice cream shop to be one of our date night spots. Unfortunately, this fell short of our expectations. Parking was not easy, given all the other businesses were pretty busy, and they all share the same lot plus on-street parking. However, this ice cream place wasn't crowded at all so waiting in line wasn't an issue. The menu has quite a few options, but it's really not well designed. Certain, common items are written in small lettering and squeezed together on one small sign. Yet, one single sundae option takes up another sign of the same size. Plus, there are a bunch of these little add-on signs that just add to the chaos. Perhaps the biggest problem we had, though, was the cashier getting our orders. I ordered a cone with 2 scoops, and my husband asked for a double scoop sundae. We waited 5 minutes before she came to the window with nothing but asked me if I wanted whipped cream and a cherry. I told her I had ordered a cone, and she stared at me still. So, then, I thought that maybe this was something this place did or was some special Pittsburgh thing. So, I went ahead and said yes to the toppings. In the end, though, we received two what looked like 2 "sundaes" (cups of ice cream with reddi whip and a cherry--his had peanuts too). I say it this way because our bill total did not reflect two double scoop sundaes. So, I have no idea what she charged us for. The ice cream was fine but nothing special to us. We've been to solid local ice cream shops, and that's what we were hoping to find. This just was very mediocre in our opinions.
