  • EDIT: Thanks for not showing my review. Like I needed a reason to stop using this website. To start, I love the atmosphere at Crave. It's dimly lit, the lounge is comfortable, and it's beautifully decorated. Now the drinks, while over priced, are very good. And they do tend to have drink specials that work out pretty well. That's pretty much any positive feedback I have for this place. A year or two ago I could walk in, no reservation-no problem. Now, I can't even get ahold of anybody, as in ever. I've called multiple times in an attempt to see if they have availability and the call disconnects with no ringing. Or I call and receive an automated response stating that to make a reservation you have to call Mon-Fri between the hours of 12pm-5pm. I'm sorry, is this a doctor's office in disguise? Even 5 star restaurants will take reservations anytime, if available. This is just a small bit of my bigger issue with them. The service blows. And it's blown everytime I go. One time, the sassy waiter even sat down next to me and proceeded to insult my hair and passed me his business card. Apparently, he solicits his work at a salon while also adding his own gratuity to my check (we were only a party of 2). Yeah, no thank you. Other times we've been completely ignored, which after reading other reviews, seems to be a recurring theme. Basically if you're going for desserts, while Crave's are pretty decent, I always prefer Amelie's. They're 24/7 service with a smile. And it's consistently delicious. If you're looking for hookah's and drinks go right around the corner to Istanbul Hookah Lounge on Brevard (tucked away in an alleyway). They have $10 STARBUZZ hookah's between 5pm-8pm EVERYDAY! That's a freakin steal around Charlotte. They also have a delicious selection of drinks. I got a mint/peach hookah with a raspberry mojito and it was just an absolutely awesome combo. The interior might not scream ultra trendy, but its dim, which is how I like my hookah lounges, and you'll meet quite the eclectic folk. Long story short, I've given this place an ample chance at redemption and they've failed me. I will definitely not be going back. There are far better places to spend your hard earned money in Charlotte. Oh, and if you ignore this poor review at least check your CC statements once their charges clear. A friend of ours had an additional $60 added on to his bill. The waitress scratched out the total written and added in a MUCH-MUCH larger tip (he only spent $35). When he called they said they couldn't locate the waitress? Uhh what? Just horrible...
