| - i had twilight tea at windsor arms on tuesday using the 2-for-1 promotion like many other people. we were greeted by a very nice doorman and hostess, and we were seated as soon as they were ready to take us in. i loved the decoration and atmosphere of the room - just so beautiful! there were quite a number of men and most people were dressed business casual. when we were seated, i couldn't help but to notice tea residue on the cream jar, dried bits of jam on the plate, and brown stains on the tablecloth on the side table.
the two servers that served us were both polite and responsive. we got tibetan tiger and rose petal oolong tea as the server recommended them and indeed they were good! they have an excellent tea selection. on the other hand, the quality of the food was just average. too much dry bread for the little filling inside the mini sliders, tasted like sandwiches you can get from a local grocery store, average sweet deserts and scones. the sorbet, which we were served after finishing the food was just average as well. the amount of food looks small, but it actually really fills you up.
it is a nice place to chit chat with tea and snacks in a nice environment, but definitely not worth $50 per person. most people there, including ourselves, had a $25 per person deal, and i think $25 is an okay price considering the beautiful atmosphere and the good service we received, even though the quality of food is a bit lacking.
