If you're planning a relaxing vacation at the Green Valley Ranch Resort, be prepared to have your room given away before you arrive and to be forced to sleep on a rollaway bed.
Our long planned girls weekend away was sadly disrupted when the 4 double queen rooms (count them 1,2,3,4 rooms!) we reserved were given away (probably to the highest corporate convention bidder) despite arriving within an hour of check in time.
An unsympathetic front desk scolded us for not reading the fine lines of our online reservation agreement and assured us that all the hotels do the same thing. Is that suppose to make me feel better?
Our much needed break from husbands and screaming kids tumbled into a wasted time trap of packing and unpacking and packing again with a dozen plus phone calls to the front desk, trying to get double queen rooms for at least one night. Our bags were piled high onto bell hop carts minutes before our spa appointments, just in time to pay a lot of money for massages during which our minds are racing with hopes of obtaining enlightenment on how we became roomless at such a nice hotel.
Don't bother calling ahead to make sure everything is in order. It didn't work for us.
