I took my car in for an oil change on a Monday, but the workers said they were busy and I should make an appointment. The person behind the counter said they were running a special on synthetic oil changes for $49.95. So, I returned for my appointment on a Wednesday at noon and my car was finished a bit after 1:00. I was unhappy that it took them over an hour for an oil change when I had an appointment.
The price for the oil change that was advertised to me for $49.95 suddenly jumped to $62.09. When I questioned the people behind the register they pointed out the wast oil disposal fee fro $3.50, shop supplies for $4.00, and of course tax. How is this not deceptive advertising and how are they getting away with this?
The store manager was apathetic when I explained to him the problem with the deceptive advertising. His response was that he didn't make the rules and he is only following what corporate set for the store.
I certainly will not be returning until they practice fair advertising and work a lot quicker.
