| - If you like audience participation, then you'll love this show!
The theater is pretty tricky to find because the Quad is under construction and quite a mess right now, but when you get yourself in the right place, you're warmly greeted by staff who ask hand you a drumstick and ask you to pick out your instrument from some large metal bins (instruments = pots and pans and other scrap metal). They'll show you to your seat where you're entertained by video clips of 'fails' while you wait for the show to begin.
Each person's instrument has a colored dot on it which determines the team you're on: blue, red, purple or green; there are games and sections of the show that involve each team. The show begins with the 4 band members strapped in chairs being lowered from the ceiling, (upside down) while playing drums made out of recycled materials. The stage effects and props are pretty impressive - from ladders to a van that's rolled on stage and the top comes off... they thought of everything! The skill of the 4 band members is amazing and they are definitely entertainers!
They play drums, they do acrobatics, they use power tools to play guitars and music, they tell jokes, they even use their bodies to make rhythmic sounds. The show is constantly keeping it fresh even through set changes by involving the audience - throwing drum sticks, bringing people up on stage, and even 'Totally Random Cookie Time' where they randomly pass out hot fresh baked cookies!
The waitress service was lacking, they never came by to even try to take a drink order. But that wasn't the reason I came anyway.
This is the only headlining instrumental act in Vegas and is definitely a show I'd see again.
