This is how I described it to a friend:
"We went to a place called Captain Boil. It's interesting but not for everyone. They give you a bib, and transparent gloves and serve your food -- boiled seafood with some sauce -- in a transparent bag. Yes, really. You eat without utensils and it is really messy but it was a unique and fun experience."
It is definitely different. It is a little pricey depending on the seafood you get. I heard the lunch option was a little more affordable. It is novel enough that I would come back again at least once, but I know for me once more will be it and it will get old after that.
The food was tasty and fresh and to be honest better than I thought. With sides, tax and tip, it was $70 for 2 which is not the range I want to spend on food too often
3.5 stars.
