| - Before you read my entire review, please note that my boyfriend and I are primarily vegetarian. We do eat fish on rare occasions (so technically pescetarian), but I primarily cool entirely vegan at home, which is most of our meals. We received a Fleming's gift card for Christmas, so made Open Table reservations to check it out.
We were immediately seated at a large booth. The service was spot-on for our dinner. Our waiter was attentive, but gave us our space as well. We had a couple of glasses of wine, which were fine. We didn't order anything special, as we have nicer bottles at home which makes it tough to want to spend a ton of $$ one wine at a restaurant.
We ordered the Jumbo lump crab cakes as an appetizer. These were great. Maybe not the BEST I've ever had, but right up there. Next, we split the Heirloom Tomato and Homemade Burrata salad. This was also nice - not overly dressed and quite simple.
I wasn't all that hungry, so we decided to split two small plates. We ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna and the New Bedford Scallops. We also had a side of the Fleming's Potatoes. First, the potatoes did NOT go with the food at all. That is probably our fault for ordering them, but our waiter highly recommended them. The potatoes were good, but very rich and the flavors were quite overpowering when compared to the fish. Both fish dishes were great - we liked the Tuna better than the scallops.
Overall, we had a good meal. Will we be back? Probably not. While the food was good, it was also quite expensive and not really our typical style. This seems like a great date restaurant or somewhere to take someone you want to impress.
