| - I had heard about this place from some co-workers and it was immediately on my list. For the longest time I have looked at a Tiki Cocktail recipe book with full on anticipation for having a vintage tiki cocktail party. Alas, it never happened, however I had been hearing about a resurgence in traditional Tiki drinks and especially Tiki bars. I decided that my friends and I would go here last night to celebrate for my birthday. We got there early (6:45) in order to snag a table for 10. The staff was extremely helpful in doing that and also in suggesting cocktails. The cocktail list was absolutely awesome with a wide variety of classic and new Tiki drinks. Every drink we tried (and trust me there were many lol) was awesome and potent! In terms of the food, we tried the garlic noodles (really good, and yes very garlicky), the shrimp dumplings (awesome), pork belly (my favorite), short ribs, pig ears (sounds gross but if you love pork rinds then these will make your taste buds sing), duck confit (was not a huge fan; we assumed they tried to make it taste like spam on purpose (?) because of course Hawaiians love spam and they were keeping with a theme). The owner was even running around, helping out and being very accommodating .So, all in all we loved the food, but weren't crazy about the duck confit. The decor is awesome and they even have tv's showing beach scenes as well as random vintage shows like Gilligan's Island. To sum it up, I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back.
