  • Short & sweet rental in Las Vegas. As a new Emerald member, we just picked up our luggage, took an EASY shuttle to the off-site rentals, walked out the back door and picked out a car. First car we looked at was too dark a color in the Las Vegas heat, so we jumped in a non-descript VW Jetta, showed our reservation at the gate and drove away. Last time I remember getting into a similar situation was an off-site rental pick-up in Denver last year. We hopped on the shuttle, got to the short line (NOT National), then proceeded to wait almost an hour for the two couples in front of us to get processed. Subsequently all three of our cars were held up for 15 minutes at the exit gate while we waited for the guard to get back, check our paperwork and let us depart. Kudos to National.
