  • This is an old school fried chicken joint. Cash only, no seating, hole-in-the-wall goodness. I've been jonesing for some good fried chicken since I moved to Charlotte and all I can say is " winner, winner, chicken dinner." I go to a place like this for the chicken. Period. Sides be damned. The bird is golden brown, super crispy, very well seasoned, and, most importantly, ridiculously juicy. Juiciness is where most others fail. Slightly greasy, but seriously, isn't that where flavor lives? Could I eat this more than once a month? Only if I got a personal defibrillator. But I will be back frequently.
