  • Normally, I feel that yelp is filled with many undue bad reviews, however, I have seen my friends experience ALL the negativity this company has been known for on Yelp. I cannot even imagine all the other people who do not come on Yelp to express their dissatisfaction. Apparently what this company is doing is targeting people with large amounts of money to put down and giving them reassurance that they will get their money back, when in fact, it explicitly says in those contracts that they will not. These people have certain issues that American West's preferred lender takes advantage of. The preferred lender will wait until the last minute to run all the paperwork. The house is being built in the meantime and time is slipping away from being able to correct the situation. This is how many people have lost thousands of dollars. It is so pathetic that a huge builder such as American West needs to go to such measures to make money. I will never buy or recommend that anyone buy from American West or their affiliates.
