  • I stopped by Pittsburgh Poke the day it opened because I have been waiting for a poke bowl restaurant to come to the area for quite some time now. I was so pleased to walk in and be greeted by an extremely friendly staff. They were knowledgeable and happy to explain the way the restaurant works. It is essentially a big food bar where you can choose your base for the bowl (quinoa, brown rice, mixed greens among the options) up to three proteins, and an unlimited number of fix-ins and sauces. I chose tuna and salmon with a healthy number of fix-ins and the sweet wasabi sauce. It was fresh and so delicious- exactly what I was hoping for! And when I got to the register the huge bowl was only $5. They were running a half off special for opening week and it was truly a steal. I will absolutely be back to try more combinations and the location is perhaps dangerously close to my work place... oh well! Well done Pittsburgh Poke!
