I stopped over here for dessert following my lunch and to pick up a lady lock for my neighbor. I met Annette, the owner and she told me this bakery has been open for two weeks now. This is their second bakery and was told the other is located on Brookline Blvd.
They have a limited selection of breads and pastries and a small covered tasting tray where you can try a peanut butter brownie, a regular brownie or a cherry tart. I opted for the tart and although it was good was sad to learn they were out of them. They did have various streusels, cupcakes, cookies, breakfast pastries, along with breads and dinner rolls.
I saw an unusual dessert called "Applenest". This consisted of a shortbread cookie with puffed pastry that had an apple filling and buttercream icing. I opted for that and saw a huge lady lock for my neighbor. She was willing to box both for me but I wanted to enjoy the Applenest right there. It tasted as good as it looks. She wrapped the lady lock in a box and also bagged it so that I could take it home and refrigerate it for my girlfriend.
They also had baked goods on the back wall among which were pizzelles. Located in Upper Lawrenceville it does save walking if you wish to avoid having to go more towards the center of the neighborhood.
