If you're looking for a large, all day aquarium, this ain't it. But if you go in knowing what you're in for, it's actually enjoyable and a nice addition to Cleveland. Just make sure if you're traveling in from out of town you have something else lined up too. Maybe the Science Center, Rock Hall, or a stroll through Coventry.
I will say, they hyped it for a lot more than what it turned out to be. It's in the lower level of a very cool building and it's limited in size. When it was first proposed I imagined something more closely related to the aquarium in Cincinnati. Cleveland's probably a third of that size. Not a terrible thing. Just misleading.
The shark tank was cloudy so we were offered a discounted ticket but that should clear with time. I also hope that as the place grows, they start introducing real corals in the tanks. The ones we saw were synthetic and I find them tacky no matter how well they're done. I also agree with other reviewers that a movie room would be a nice, interesting addition as it would break up the sign reading and give you a little more bang for your buck.
I do feel that the admission price is a little steep for what you get. I'd like to see it more in the 15-18 dollar range but hopefully they add a few things as they get established. I definitely want to see it stay!
