Overall - Bardot Brasserie is a wonderful experience and I recommend dinning at this fine establishment.
Now to the GOOD specifics:
The atmosphere here is lively and fun. It has a great vibe and much energy. Our server, Nelson, was wonderful. He was polite, knowledgeable, and seemed to really care about us. Our main dishes were fantastic. I had the Filet Mignon and my friends both had the Sole Meuniere. They were both top notch. The flavor and quality are worthy of a 5 star rating.
Now the NOT SO GOOD specifics:
We had ordered an $88 bottle of Katheryn Kennedy Cab. from the Sommelier (sorry I don't have his name). As often happens, I expected him to counter with a similar wine up sell. He did that with a much higher end Katheryn Kennedy selling for $700! I understand sales and up selling very well, but that is a huge jump and bad business. Who knows, maybe an up sell of $20-$30 would have worked but if I'm ordering an $88 bottle of wine I can't be up sold for a bottle more than my round trip flight from New York!
As great as the main dishes were, the side dish and dessert were lacking. We shared the side dish of Blistered green beans (lemon butter & almonds). Well they were shockingly tasteless. We also ordered the chocolate macaroon for dessert and it was average at best.
The main dishes, atmosphere and Nelson the server were so good I was thinking 5 stars here most of the evening. I had to take 1 star away for the side dish, dessert and suggestion from the Sommelier.
Hey - 4 stars is fantastic and I will be back next time I'm in Vegas. Maybe Bardot can up sell me to a 5 star rating next time :)
