Last night we made our first visit to Honey Salt. Good reviews from a friend sparked our interest in visiting this new eatery in Summerlin. Overall we enjoyed the evening. The food was wonderful. I had the free range chicken; skin was crispy and chicken was moist and tender. The Anaheim pepper Mac and cheese that accompanied it was perfect, not too spicy. My wife loved the scallops and our friends each had the steaks which were juicy, tender and cooked perfectly.
The service was attentive and timely. The decor and lighting are especially pleasing and comfortable. It is an open room, but with the tables somewhat crowded together.
The cocktails that my wife and her friend ordered we're undrinkable, we sent them back and got something more to their liking. But the drinks were strong and took overlong to get. The beer list is small but adequate.
Our reservation was at 5 pm, we were done and leaving just before 7. So it was a little long, but we were not rushed and enjoyed our evening.
I wish them much success and we will be back.
