  • A luxurious high-end steakhouse with Equally high prices and top flight service. One measure for me on service is the water glass test and they passed with flying colors. No fewer than 3 different people kept our water glasses filled to the top while our waiter did an excellent job taking care of our needs. One of the things that stands out about Johnny D's for me was the food quality. The filet that I had was not only cooked perfectly (no trying to guess what medium will mean) but it had just the right amount of seasoning and was a very high-quality cut. The sides are a la carte and also quite good. Certainly the most expensive steak house in Madison that I've visited (our group of 6 was almost $100 per person) but given the quality and service I wouldn't hesitate to return.
