  • 5 stars goes to the valet gentleman standing out front of the San Carlos this am. I was walking back to my office from starbucks with my coffee thinking about the lack of happiness in downtown phoenix. Very few smiles or laughs this morning. As I walked past the hotel the staff struck up a brief morning conversation with a smile and it made my day. Thank you for being so friendly. I just called the hotel to speak to a manager and let them know how friendly the staff was. Woman who answered phone stated there was no manager working. one star for you.
