| - Having no options for purchasing FIlipino specific groceries in my area, I did a search prior to coming to Charlotte and decided to go with Overseas as my stop, and I was glad I did.
As others have mentioned, the store itself is larger inside than it first appears (and is admittedly in need of some updating) but the organization and variety of options won me over. There's at least an entire aisle dedicated to each cuisine (Filipino, Japanese, Chinese, Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese) and then a large refrigerated and frozen section. It's nice to have so much under one roof - they've got at least 90% of what you're looking for for each cuisine, pretty good for a one stop asian market. Having lived in SoCal for some years the prices on some goods were a bit shocking, but that's more a reflection of location that this particular store itself.
In any case, I'm a fan. The lady that checked me out was perfectly nice and asked to make sure I found everything I was looking for (important when you live 2 hours away).
Now while I go enjoy some siopao and otap, go plan yourself a trip!
