Whenever I buy a new Apple product and have the shiny new toy in my hands I feel like the future has finally arrived. Know what I mean? Going into the Apple Store in the Eaton Centre is like that too. It's mad hectic (and used to be super hot and stagnant) but there are a ton of shiny happy people waiting to engage you endlessely in your discussion and quest for the next best thing.
I'll go in with a head full of questions, spend half an hour with a sales rep and come away with everything making sense and wanting it all.
It usually takes a few visits to finally commit...8G or 16G? Laptop or desktop...maybe both? (If you're going for a laptop always get more ram installed.)
The utterly sad thing about this Apple Store though...apart from it's energetic sales reps it's got no personality. Is it too much to ask that Apple gives Canada a flagship store like the one on 5th Ave in NYC or in Ginza, Tokyo? I think it shows a huge lack of respect for Canadian Apple fans. Sure we've got a few stores in Toronto now but they're boring boxes lining the halls of malls like Yorkdale, Sherway and the Eaton Centre.
Given how packed the place is I'm sure they could support a few more floors of Apple geeks.
