In person, these people come off as helpful and sincere, Katlyn Green who helped me move into this property was very nice and informative.
When I went in to office to move out, Nicole Boyd was again very helpful with what I needed to do. Also the woman I did the walkout inspection with was very nice and forthcoming. However, over the phone and through emails, this company is completely different. Elonda Kirkland is an incompetent piece of work who needs to find a new profession.
I was recently a tenant with this sorry excuse for a property management team. If you need repairs done, don't even bother asking or notifying them, because nothing will come of it. To add insult to injury, say you have an emergency such as your living room being flooded from the cracks above your sliding door (one of the rainy nights in Vegas), you better not call because they charge you an extra fee to report any repairs over the phone, including emergencies. They have a tenant portal where you can report repairs needed by sending an email at no additional cost, but what good will an email do in an emergency situation? Even after I had sent the email about my living room being flooded I didn't get a response until about a week before I moved out of their property saying that this repair service has been canceled.
If you rent a property that is an apartment or condo, don't park any vehicles you might purchase in your assigned spot, it'll get towed. I had some racist/homophobic neighbors in the property I had rented, who had informed the on site property management company that they were "sick of seeing my vehicle and that it was an eye sore" who then informed McKenna, and McKenna gave the on site team the go ahead to tow my vehicle. My car wasn't on bricks, nothing was falling off or broken, I had just purchased the vehicle from an auction and I had a valid moving permit, but because a neighbor said it was an eye sore, McKenna PM thought it's ok to tow my car. When I spoke to Elonda about this matter, she was very rude and condescending while on the phone, I could hardly get a word out over her yelling, with her obnoxious voice. Any issue I had, I was referred to Elonda, after my first encounter with her, I knew no good or help would come from her so I figured, why bother.
After I had made police reports about the harassment, property damage and and vandalism that was happening to me and my personal property, at their rental property, McKenna offered no help in resolving or diffusing the situation happening at their property and that is why I had to move out.
If this isn't enough to make you stay away, let me add one more thing. You know how there's fee's for when you have someone stay over one night, or have a pet on property without permission or anything like that, they will take the money out of your account without letting you know and charge on an extra $100 without informing you. The fee I received was for having a pet on the property without notifying them, the fee states in my contract $500, no extra fee for processing the payment or anything like that, McKenna took out $600 from my account. I even sent them an email with the fee highlighted stating it's only $500, I sent emails asking what the extra $100 was for, never got a response. Since they couldn't bother responding to me, I went into the office and waited about 30 minutes before anyone would come talk to me. When I was finally able to speak with a woman, she informed me that the extra $100 was their processing pet fee, that I didn't need to be informed, that even though my contract states only $500, they don't need to let anyone know when they make changes to contracts. I asked how is it possible to change a contract without letting the people who signed it know, she told me that changes are made all the time and that they aren't responsible for letting whoever signed it know.
Seeing how someone will take time to write this long of a review should let you know how bad this company is. I didn't just list the bad, I did have some good experience with them, so I hope you know this is an honest review. McKenna, don't bother responding to this review.
