  • It rarely happens that I ever give a store a 1-star rating. They are usually reserved for businesses that I'd never set foot in again. And in this case, it's absolutely true. My husband and I were looking to furnish our humble abode from scratch. We already had a bed and sofa, but on the hunt for furniture and fast. We walked in, browsed and left to check other stores but returned later to purchase everything there. We wanted to coordinate the delivery from one place thinking it might be easier. The sales associate was pleasant and gave us space. We consulted him when we were ready. They were running a promo for 25% off on most items so the prices were decent, but similar to other places. We invested in some nice pieces to reuse in the future. We didn't get a lot thrown in (free wood preserving kit & delivery) but that wasn't our priority. We purchased extended warranty on our items, but haven't dealt with them on this issue since everything is new. There were 3 attempts at delivering our furniture and this wasn't even everything. The first time wasn't their fault because we were given a day for delivery for which we couldn't book the service elevator so we had to reschedule. Attempt #2: We rescheduled it again for a Saturday and asked if a 1-4 pm delivery was possible because the service elevator was booked for 9-12 pm (if we didn't deliver that day we'd get our furniture 2 weeks later and we had already been waiting 2 weeks after we rescheduled the first time). They had said they would email them and try. Turns out we got the 9-12 slot and we had to re-route our delivery. The Brick calls the day before to let you know which 3-hour time slot they've assigned you. I live in a condo and our sales associate knew that. However, this is when they decided to mention that if we paid an extra fee, they would tell us which slot earlier so that we could book the service elevator easier. Attempt #3: We booked the elevator for the whole day the next Saturday they gave us thankfully without a hitch. They assembled our dresser and dropped off the rest. They were quick, efficient and careful. The remainder of our order came on a Wednesday and my husband had given them my number because he was at work. They left him multiple missed calls while he was in a meeting informing them that we missed our delivery. I was at home waiting, but they didn't call the number he had given them or attempt calling the second number on the invoice. By this point we only had chairs for our dining table sans dining table. We are still waiting on two nightstands that we bought in June, but have been back-ordered to August. It's guaranteed we'll pick them up ourselves. TLDR: Furniture took 3 attempts to deliver because they didn't give us all the info we needed. It took 6 weeks to get most of our furniture. It will take us 3 months to get the nightstands we ordered. Decent quality, but you'll probably find major improvements elsewhere in terms of customer service because it was such a fail.
