Having recently discovered that my thumbs actually might have some green under the layer of brown that resides on it's surface from many butchered attempts at gardening it was fate that brought me into Plant It recently at the height of my new found interest in plants.
Located on the upper floor of the T&T mall in Markham, Plant It, is a small would-be kiosk, but due to some cool architectural designs, it's a full on 5 foot by 12-foot proper store. So cool! They specialise in succulent plants, which for those not in the know are water storage plants which get thicker once watered. Truth be told I had no idea until I looked it up.
They have a huge variety of individual plants, terrariums and more. I opted for an Aloe Vera plant because in addition to being good for sun burns it's also edible! I had no idea. Besides the selection, and education the prices are so reasonable. My little Aloe plant was only $7 and it's already a pretty good size!
If I manage to not kill my current batch of succulents and veggies that I've just planted, I'll be back to get some cool cactai and other cool plants for the house!
Take THAT Home Depot garden Centre, Plant It has got you beat
