My family and friends visited The Resort for the weekend. This was Martin Luther King weekend and the resort was sold out. We arrived on Saturday January 16. At about 8 pm we went to the restaurant to eat dinner. We were informed by the rude and very abrupt hostess that dinner is reservation only and they couldn't sit us till after 9, mind you the restaurant only had less than half of their table seated. THE PLACE WAS EMPTY. While I was trying to get our party of 6 seated, one of my friends went to the bar area and asked if we can order food and was told yes it's was limited. So when he came to get us from the hostess stand (15 minutes later and the restaurant is still empty) he told us in front of the restaurant manager that not to worry we can go to bar and have food and drinks. The restaurant manager immediately went to the Hotel Manager and he stopped the bar from placing food orders.
We felt as though they purposely did this because of what happened at the restaurants. The Hotel Manager was just as rude as the restaurant manager. He basically did not care what was going on and blamed his bar employee for not having the right information. He further stated that he can stop serving food whenever he wanted to and does not have to post when they stop serving food. I asked how does an establishment like this knowing it is completely sold out understaff the restaurant and kitchen. His response was complain to the owner. Unbelievable how rude and disrespectful these people are. They need a serious lesson in customer service.
The good thing out of all this we got to eat a very delicious meal and enjoyed drinks with a great group of people
at the Lodge where they truly deserve our money and tips.
