  • McDonald's has always prided themselves for delivering consistent food across it's franchise. This one is no different. Over the years they've definitely changed their image from a greasy fast food chain to one offering more nutritional alternatives and a CafĂ© with baked goods and smoothies. Again delivering consistency in quality and taste. Not much to critique here, so I'll comment about the service and the facilities. First off they have a good size Playland, so if you have little ones, this location would be a pretty good choice. There is seating for about 60 inside the Playland and an attendant comes in at regular intervals to empty the trash, sweep up the floors, and clear/clean the tables. We came on Good Friday, and the place was packed, so I'm not sure if this is regular routine or just beefed up staff for the holiday. Either case, coodles to the Mgmt. for the decision. The playland was checked on every 15-20 mins after each cleaning. 5 stars. Like all McDonalds in Ontario, they have self service ordering kiosks and one cashier working an actual till at the counter (for those paying cash I guess). The line up for human interaction was about 6 deep, so we opted to go digital. In my other reviews about this I've mentioned that I'm not a fan, and I'm still not. In addition to taking much longer to place an order because of navigating through the various screens (browsking or special orders - no onions, extra pickles, etc.), I encountered a new deficiency. The kids wanted smoothies, so we ordered a bunch. After placing our order and waiting in queue, when our order was finally ready and they called our number, we were informed that their frozen machine was down. The store should have the ability to update the kiosks to inform the customer of this! The manager did take care of it by refunding the price of the smoothies, and giving us a couple of extra large fries, and the kids had to settle for ice cream cones which suited them just fine. 5 stars for problem resolution. This location also provided the service of bringing your meal to your table if you let them know which section you'll be sitting in which is nice. 5 stars. I'm not sure why this particular location has such a low rating. In my experience, the management team is doing all the right things. Once again, I'm going against the grain of most yelpers... Overall, I'd have to say that this McD's is well run, I'm a fan of the management team here. Well done! 5 stars less one for the kiosk (for time it takes to navigate and place order, and the inability to update menu selection when things are not available), 4 stars overall. If you would like to experience more, come dine-with-me.yelp.com I'd love to have your company.
