My wife and I were originally going to give this place a four. Let me tell you why the one. I was getting BIT all week but didn't think anything of it mainly because I thought it was stress. My wife goes to check in on my daughter and saw a bug crawling across her bed. She immediately puts the bug in a ziplock. I thought it was a cockroach. We look online to discover that it is in fact a bed bug. We call the front desk and explain that we will be there to get trash bags and to give us bed bug spray for the room. We immediately call our insurance company because we are displaced from our home. The next day we speaks to a manager who blames it on the previous hotel we stayed at . That hotel was dirty but we were not getting bit. We tell the manager to go to higher up to fix the problem. She tells my wife that she would take our clothing to the cleaners for treatment and brings us back three miniature containers to spray our cars( not enough for one car) When my wife gives her the clothes, she explained that she thought that was two weeks and has a very ugly demeanor. Keep in mind that we are displaced from our home and there are three of us including a dog that's had a brain operation that has to be cared for. We also mention that we have no clothing but the clothing on our backs and have to buy clothing. After speaking to Bob, the GM manager he explains that they will not cover our clothing because of the bed bugs their hotel caused. In the meantime ALL of our clothing is at the cleaners. We get our clothing back and the cleaners they took our clothes too had RUINED 10 Pairs of our shoes. Of course the hotel and cleaners are blaming each other at this point. So here we are five hundred dollars out of pocket just for clothing for one day, and about eight hundred out of pocket for the shoes. Not to mention the hastle with the insurance company. Because we were still booked with this hotel, we couldn't get an approval right away for a new hotel. So we are stranded in a parking lot in twenty degree weather with the clothes on our backs waiting for another hotel. It took this hotel two days to treat our room with all of our belongings and four days to treat our clothing. Do not waste your money on a hotel that treats their customers like this.We would have given a four star if it weren't for the bed bugs. Maria the housekeeping lady did such a great job in our room and the hotel did have a Iot to offer for a family being displaced. Instead of pointing fingers, do what's right. Your hotel knew we were going through a lot. You had the bed bugs, so get them treated and take care of what needed to be taken care of so we didn't have to pay to take care of your bed bug problem. Your manager wanted us to be sympathetic of her father dying but couldn't be sympathetic to a family sitting in their car in twenty degree weather because your hotel had bed bugs. Our daughter was bit up severely by the bugs and my wife and I also had bites. Don't take advantage of people already in a bad situation out of their control. This Hotel did offer another room of course that our insurance company would have to pay for, but who in their right mind would stay at a hotel that has bed bugs and would treat their customers so poorly ?
