  • Metro Hound is so charming that each time I'm there, I feel like I'm starring in a dog food commercial. A stylish selection of superior quality dog gear is displayed on the first level, and dog baths on the second. We take our filthy hound once a month for a thorough wash (and photo op). He loves it. For us people, full-length waterproof aprons and elevated tubs. For him, a generous variety of organic shampoos & rinses, a selection of brushes, as well as cotton balls and cleaning solution for his ears. Tubs and drying table have rubber steps so the dogs can get up on their own. Blow dryers, and stacks of towels too. Christine, the owner, is great, and is graciously helpful without ever getting in the way. She also clips nails (not yours) for an extra five bucks. It's simple, quick, and so much more entertaining than doing it at home. Bring your camera. You and your dog will never look more adorable.
