  • Let me start off by saying that the doctors and PA we have seen here are all wonderful, which brings me to my gripe..... You will never see the same one twice. I am a mom of 3 (ages 5, 2, and 19 months) and my 19 month old is our adopted nephew who is special needs. He has an UNBELIEVABLY LONG medical history for all of the health issues and therapies he has had and continues to have, and it is increasingly difficult to be constantly bringing new doctors up to speed on everything he has experienced in his life. The first doctor we were seeing left this office. The second doctor we were seeing left this office. We are now seeing a PA, who was absolutely wonderful, but we had to wait over 2 hours just for her to enter the exam room to see us. I know how broken our health care system is, I'm a pre med microbiologist. I know how over-worked these poor physicians are. I get it. But, I am a mother first. Keeping my special needs (extremely self-abusive) son in his diaper in a cold, strange place for two hours is just not okay. I ended up re-dressing him and going to the front desk after 90 mins to share my thoughts on the matter with them. Half an hour later (bringing the total to two hours), the PA came in. The moral of the story is, the people who work here are wonderful people. But, the scheduling is too hectic to allow any of them to do their job in a semi-time-conservative fashion. And, if you're a special needs mom like I am, bring a brief medical history to EVERY SINGLE APPOINTMENT so that you can quickly and efficiently bring that new doctor up to speed on your child's entire life. Try as they may to quickly read up before walking into the room, there's always a few gaps and always some questions.
