| - This has been a part of my bucket list for a while now. When I finally got the chance to go to Toronto, this was a must-do for me. Costing around $225 USD, it is pretty pricy. But for something this unique and thrilling as this, it was worth every dollar.
I suggest arriving about a half hour beforehand because you have to go through security, sign in, and go through paperwork before actually suiting up. Wear layers if it is cold, as it gets much colder when you are on the Edge Walk. As scary as it is being 1000+ ft in the air with nothing but a bungee cord, the staff makes you feel safe the entire time. When we were getting into our gear, the staff checked, double checked, and even triple checked our harnesses. Not only did one person do this, but 3 people checked our harnesses to make sure everything was correct. We also removed all jewelry, hair pins, etc., except for a single hair tie (don't worry. All your stuff is stored in lockers).
Being up walking higher than everyone in the city is amazing. Our guide was more than knowledgeable about the city and answered all our questions. With all the "stunts" we did, our guide was very encouraging and only let us if we felt comfortable and safe. With the amount of checking they did, who wouldn't feel safe! With these stunts, we were able to take pictures to show off to our friends/family later. After spending about a half an hour up there, we had come full circle and went back inside.
We received a complimentary group photo and free picture after our walk. However, there is a USB you could purchase for around $25 with all the pictures inside. If you just want a select few, though, it is $5 CAD/picture.
If you are thinking about doing this, just do it. This is an experience that will last you a lifetime. Don't wonder if it is worth it: IT IS!
