| - Seriously cannot put into words the experience I just had. I will try though. Walking into the room I knew this woman meant business. Tuning forks, crystals, essential oil diffuser, towel warmer, hot stone warmer, and heated massage table all in one room ready to go. She uses dim lighting, white noise, and very calming music for optimum relaxation.
I had a Groupon, which I'm always nervous about using, but she was happy to see me and happy to hear I found her through Groupon. I've had bad experiences in the past where businesses have a Groupon and aren't very happy to see you even though they are the ones that offered it in the first place. This is not about that though. Just wanted to emphasize that if you are coming with Groupon she will happily accept you and give you her very best (you don't have to call, just make appt online regardless of what the fine print says.)
So I've had many many massages in my lifetime (I have several family members that have practiced Massotherapy, hoping they don't see this lol). I've never had ashitsu though. I'm a nurse. My body hurts all the time and I thought that deep tissue was the closest I could get to relief. I was wrong. The ashitsu massage was perfection. She also adds in what she feels you need along the way: hot stone, aroma therapy ect... She adds in range of motion and stretches as well. I usually have to ask for more pressure several times during a massage but she was very in tune with what I needed and adjusted before I had a chance to ask. The pressure she gave me this visit was "light" to "medium" according to her parameters and was perfect for what I consider deep tissue.
I usually leave a massage feeling something was missed or some area of my body needed more time, but this experience left me feeling amazing....Maybe needing a nap but that's not for her to solve :).
Her regular prices are extremely reasonable for what you get out of the experience. I've already made another appointment and will be looking forward to it every. single. day.
