  • I certainly haven't been to all the venues in town, but this is the worst one yet. First, let me say that the act we saw (Lez Zeppelin) was amazing. They weren't the problem. The problem is the layout of this place. About 1/3 of the entire downstairs area is blocked by a giant staircase. So, of course, head upstairs. Except that you can't see anything unless you're in the first row...and even then the owners decided to put up drapes which obscure more of the view. Finally, there are three projected screens on one side. Two of them (the smaller ones) project a live feed of the show, but the quality of the video is terrible. And one of them (the largest and the one in the middle) is a constantly looped ad for, you guessed it, Alter Bar. Why have the screen there if you're not going to show the act? Overall, I had a great time with my friends, but that was entirely despite the venue.
