This is a fun, cozy, friendly atmosphere. I blame this entirely on their arcade game selection. It's pretty hard not to find yourself reverting to child-like openness and playfulness towards strangers when you're playing vintage games. I mean for some of us it brings out a whole new level of psycho *cough* me *cough* but otherwise great way to slide up next to someone and strike up a conversation.
"Oh, pardon me miss, but, you're really handling those pin balls well."
"Why, thank you kind sir. My brother taught me how to bang them around just right."
Also, the pizza is pretty awesome. Why don't all bars serve pizza? BECAUSE THEY DON'T GET ME. Maybe I should send around a memo? "Dear bars: Tracey likes pizza. Get.On.It."
For $5 you can get a variety of ready-to-order delicious, Italian-style pizza. The kale & bacon is my fave. Their pepperoni is also quite good. Let's be real though: does it really matter what flavour you get? No, it doesn't. It's pizza when you're drunk and you don't even have to walk outside. It's great.
Weirdly enough they don't keep Campari on hand.
