  • We went here for dinner and it just so happened to be restaurant week... lucky us! Usually restaurant week isn't my favorite because your service isn't as great or you get smaller portions, but that wasn't the case here (I hadn't dined here before but I will say that if these weren't full size portions then the portions must be HUGE). Live music (on Friday nights at least - and I would assume all weekend), so many gluten free options, great food, great service... awesome! Food: We (very much) enjoyed the Guacamole, Chips & Salsa small plate... the salsa is a chipotle salsa with a little kick.. yum! We also got to try a sampler platter of small plates, which came with an Empanada, Spicy Veggie Tostada and Cubano Slider... unfortunately for me I could only enjoy the tostada (only GF item of the three) but it was seriously delicious! Definitely hard to share... but nonetheless, delicious. My aunt and cousin did say that the other items were just as good, especially the empanada! I tried a bite of the Tortilla soup (5/5 stars) and had the Spinach Salad - seriously, SO good... their balsamic dressing was one of my favorites I've had. For my main meal, I had the Ropa Vieja (it didn't look like it was on the regular menu) but it was so good. Such great flavor, wonderfully tender and more than I could eat so definitely enough for leftovers); for my sides I had the JalapeƱo Cream Corn and Chipotle Cheddar Mashed Potatoes -- both highly recommended... unique, great flavors. For dessert, the Chocolate Torte isn't technically GF because the pan it is made in is lined with flour... I went for it (only eating a bite) and tried to not eat the outsides because none of the actual ingredients contain wheat/gluten... it was very rich and I only had a bite because I was so full. Drinks: With the restaurant week menu came a glass of their sangria. Honestly, not a fan... tasted semi-watered down. I wish I had tried the Mojito as I had originally planned. It was kind of a let down so I wouldn't order it if (I mean when) I return... my cousin also agreed that this wasn't our favorite. Service: So great and tentative. The (I think) manager was very friendly and checked on us multiple times throughout our meal. Our waitress was super awesome and friendly! Just as good as the meal itself. In conclusion, I will definitely be back! The ONLY thing I didn't enjoy 100% was the sangria, as mentioned. But I am picky with my drinks and I'm sure next time whatever drink I have will be amazing. The outside seating may get a little warm in the summer months but they do have misters (they weren't on when we were there because it wasn't too warm). The live music really set a great ambiance. We were right next to the band and it wasn't too loud but it's also loud enough to be heard all over the patio. I definitely think this is one of my new favorites.
