  • Been staying at The California Hotel since Thursday night for my birthday weekend. We are leaving Sunday morning. The room itself is okay but you can tell the rooms are old. The room has a flat screen television and cable. We let our daughter watch the Cartoon Network. The only bad thing is I can smell smoke in our room. My eyes turn red and my throat hurts. I think they gave us a smoking rather than a non smoking room because we checked in late on Thursday night. I can't stand the smell of smoke. Second hand smoke is the worst. It just literally makes me sick especially for my daughter. Other than that, our stay has been okay. The house keeping lady came this morning and I told her to just give us new towels and take the old ones. She also gave us new tissue boxes and toilet paper. She was really nice and did the same thing the morning before since I was in the room with my daughter. I don't know if we will stay here again because my husband gets free nights at different hotels. Our stay was just okay.
