  • Charlotte does many things well, but it's park system is among one of its many gems. First Ward Park is a beautiful location which is close to many other attractions such as Levine Museum of the New South, ImaginOn, Spirit Square, 7th St. Public Market, and many restaurants and bars. The park also features artwork, functional sculptures that double as fitness equipment or works of art, lots of seating and beautiful flat surfaces for picnics. It is a wonderful place to enjoy the city skyline, meditate or catch up on creative writing ideas. Take your special someone on a stroll for a first, second or ongoing date. Especially since the Public Market is close by with lots of great delicacies to choose from. If you are visiting or living in the Queen City, First Ward Park is worth the experience. Plus, they offer a live music series at the park beginning in June!
