  • I would like to just leave a Wow here. Easily slides in to my top 3 best meals ever. Takes a bit to find (look for the pink light), but once you're there it's like a party in your buddy's cabin where everyone is just drinkin, munchin and having a good time. The atmosphere is loud, so if you're looking for a quiet romantic spot, Montreal has plenty that suit that purpose, not this one. Chalkboard menu, top is apps, bottom is mains. Server will happily take a picture on your phone for you so you can easily consult it. Started with Rabbit Agnolotti in a dijon cream sauce. I'm a bit of a cuteitarian, so while morally opposed to this dish, thumper was delish. Hubs had the salt cod risotto with lemon and fried capers. I've since decided I've never had a risotto made right before (including my own) and will need to figure out how they got a risotto to be light and not have carb-remorse is a wonder. I had Sturgeon, Pork Belly, Japanese Mushrooms, Egg and Potato Dumplings in a pork broth. I avoid pork like the plague, but I just had to. It didn't look like much food but once you dig in the richness of it all, so ridiculously decadent I had to restrain myself from licking the bowl. Every component sung on its own merit but was a beautiful choir with the rest. The simple addition of a couple of hot pepper rings on the sturgeon cut through the richness and provided another layer of flavor. To finish up, we had the PB & J Profiteroles. The puffs themselves were not the best I had ever had but when you top anything witha rich and creamy ice-cream-like PB mousse and a delicious strawberry sauce...who cares?!? Hit the pocketbook a little hard, but this is a must visit for any self-proclaimed foodie.
