  • We visited this scum property on 05/19/17 and toured an apartment that was off the market but available to be toured. Kelly McCarthy was our leasing consultant. As soon as we entered the apartment, I said "Nope, I can't do an apartment if the appliances don't match." Kelly replied "I'll order new ones for you. We just raised rent on these apartments and I told my manager, if we raise rent the appliances have to match." We said okay, great, let's put in an application to see if we're approved. Kelly advised us of the $50 per person app. And the $300 hold deposit, which we gave to her. We started going over the application and I said I'm not filling in a phase or unit number because we don't even know if we're approved yet and I want to make sure the appliances match. I also advised Kelly that I was NOT filling out the part that says my $300 is non refundable because I want in writing first that the appliances will all be one color. Kelly replied "Okay, we will leave them blank until I get the appliances to match." Kelly signed and dated the application. So did I. On the 22nd Kelly called to let us know we were approved. I said "Great, we are excited, but before we commit I need to know the appliances will match" have you checked on the appliances? She said "I'll check and get back in touch with y'all." On Tuesday May 30th we called Kelly back, because she never called us back. She advised us that she won't be able to get the appliances to match. And I advised her well I'd like my $300 back. She said it's non-refundable, I said but we specifically left those areas blank for this very reason. I asked her to send me a copy of my application. Mind you, I scanned the application with my phone on May 19th at 1:59pm the day we were in the office. The application Kelly sent me back however, had been doctored and she went and filled in all the blank spaces after the fact. Trying to talk to Gina, the manager is not working out. This lady is very bossy and just mean. She won't even listen to our side of the story. I have reached out to Gina by email, and per Las Vegas Justice Court, I have to send her a demand letter which I have done also. The next step for me is a lawsuit in small claims. It is absolutely illegal to doctor an agreement after both parties have signed it. And I have proof that she added in the phase, apartment #, deposit amount after the fact.
