| - CLE reminds me of Chicago's O'Hare Airport, and not in a good way. Yes, CLE does serve its purpose as an airport in the sense that allows you to fly in and out of Cleveland, but it seems like the airport has seen better days. I would recommend eating prior to arriving, as there are few options. C terminal seems to have the best in terms of choice. Plus, there is a Gluten Free option at McAlister's Deli by Gate c29.
Security is pretty short when compared to most of the larger airports. CLE does have TSA PreCheck, but you need to make sure you go to the correct security line; else you will be stuck going through normal security.
In terms of seating, there really isn't much once you get to the gate. There is however two lounge options, the United Club and Airspace Lounge, which if you have an AMEX Platinum, the card allows you and a guest entry into the club.
If you have time, you can visit the tiny Superman display in the baggage terminal by door 6, the displays, currently Legos, by the United Checkin, and the various decorated guitars throughout the airport.
